Was sind Veil Poi?
Veil Poi – auch „Voi“ genannt – sind farbenfrohe Stoffschleier, die an rotierenden Bällen (Poi) befestigt sind. Beim Tanzen entstehen fließende Muster in der Luft. Die Kombination aus Bauchtanz und Poi-Techniken verbindet Anmut, Rhythmus und visuelle Poesie zu einem einzigartigen Tanzerlebnis.
In diesem Kurs lernst du:
· die Grundlagen des Poi-Spielens (Drehen, Schwingen, Kontrolle),
· Basisbewegungen des orientalischen Tanzes,
· und wie beides in einer ausdrucksstarken Choreografie zusammenfindet.
Wir tanzen zur instrumentalen Version von „Arabian Nights“ aus dem Film Aladdin – ein Stück, das die orientalische Atmosphäre perfekt einfängt.
Vorkenntnisse im Tanz oder Poi-Spiel brauchst du nicht – nur Neugier und Lust, dich auszuprobieren! Die Veil Poi werden von der Kurleiterin zur Verfügung gestellt.

Belly Dance with Veil Poi – Flowing Movement, Captivating Visuals
Are you curious to try something new that combines rhythm, elegance, and creative expression? Then Belly Dance with Veil Poi is the perfect course for you!
What is Veil Poi?
Veil Poi – also known as Voi – are long, colorful fabric veils attached to spinning balls (Poi) on strings. When danced with, they create mesmerizing patterns in the air. This fusion of belly dance and poi technique results in a unique and visually stunning dance style.
In this course, you will:
· learn basic poi spinning and swinging techniques,
· explore fundamental belly dance movements,
· and combine both into a beautiful choreography.
We’ll dance to the instrumental version of “Arabian Nights” from the movie Aladdin – a piece full of atmosphere and magic.
No prior dance or poi experience is required – just bring your curiosity and a willingness to move and explore! Veil Poi will be provided by the teacher.
